To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, Davis will portray Angus Augustus Burleigh, a 19th century ex-slave, soldier and scholar who went on to become an acclaimed black educator and minister. Davis's electrifying portrayal of Burleigh incorporates his vast knowledge of Burleigh and African-American history with his uncanny ability to connect and engage audiences.
In addition to being a performer, Davis holds a Juris Doctorate, serves on the Federal Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, and owns his own business, Empowerment Solutions, focusing on youth development. Drawing on his multiple talents, Davis presents African-American characters from the past in ways that encourage audiences to read and understand more about their cultural and ethnic history, and motivates them to reach for higher education and personal achievements. http://www.hasandavis.com/LCTF2.html
