Upcoming Parent Workshops:
-SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) Parent Discussion groups and book studies are offered at least once a year starting in the 2010-2011 school year. Contact the GT office for details.
Yearly Student Opportunities:
-Legislative Day is held each February for secondary students to visit the state capital and apply to shadow a legislator for the day. More details on the event will be posted as they become available.
-Western Academic Talent Search (WATS) is an opportunity for gifted students to take the ACT and SAT at a younger age. For details go to Center for Bright Kids or contact the district gifted and talented office.
-Flyers for the Super Saturday classes offered by UCCS will be distributed to gifted students in grades 1-6 in both the fall and spring. These are engaging and challenging enrichment courses offered on Saturdays for a small fee due to UCCS.
