How Your Pay is Calculated

Substitutes

Certified and ESP Subs:  Time worked from the 1st through the last day of the month, is paid the following month on the 25th.
**Please keep a record of the SAM job number when you accept the position for each day worked. This is your proof of time worked in case of an error in your pay. If you have a problem with the amount paid please call the Sub Office at 579-2026.

Hourly (paid through OTIS timesheet)

Work performed from the end of the previous period through the last Saturday of the month, is paid the following month on the 25th. All time worked will be paid according to In/Out punches in the OTIS system. Different jobs should be identified and submitted to the Payroll Office as such, to insure proper rate of pay.

Prorated ESP

Pay is calculated based on:

Hourly rate X Number of hours worked per day  = daily rate

Daily rate X Number of days scheduled to work in current year = annual salary

Annual salary divided by pay period remaining (full year is 12 periods)

Example: Hourly rate $10.00, 8 hours per day, 180 days per year, hired first day of school

            $10.00 x 8 = $80.00 daily rate

            $80.00 x 180 = $14,400.00 annual salary

            $14,400.00 divided by 12 = $1,200.00 monthly prorated pay
