School District Goals and Objectives

It is the firm belief and policy of this district that the learning process must accomplish the following goals and, in addition, must be so designed and administered as to make the learning experience itself an interesting, relevant, exciting, and enjoyable one.

In accordance with its strategic plan, it is the desire of this Board to achieve the following overall goals in the governance and operation of the school system:

OBJECTIVES

Objective #1:
Annually increase student achievement for all groups as measured by State Accreditation, Content Standards and other district indicators.

Objective #2:
We will model respect and sensitivity for diverse individuals and groups through equitable programs, policies and practices for students, staff, parents and our community.

Objective #3:
We will form a partnership with students, families and community members by increasing active and meaningful engagement within the district.

Objective #4:
To enhance the students' learning environment and the workplace, the district will increase the number of diverse employees through the improvement of recruitment, hiring, and retention.

Objective #5:
Develop and maintain a staff evaluation process that supports the Strategic Plan.

Objective #6:
Budget, Facilities and Services: The Mission and Goals of the district are supported by a financial plan that:
-maintains fiscal accountability by all
-balances expenditures to revenues
-addresses the educational needs of all students
-includes a marketing plan
-addresses district facility needs
